The joke is that the league wants its players to act like robots after they make a play. Antonio Brown and Josh Norman have highlighted the absurdity of the league’s crackdown on celebrations with their respective dances this season.
After scoring a touchdown against the Patriots, Hawkins realized it would be a great moment to make fun of the stupid rules.
“Everything you do gets fined nowadays, right? Me seeing the tape of what not to do — and I get it, rules are rules — but I thought it would be funny to do that and troll the whole situation, so that’s what I did,” he said.
Now we just hope Hawkins isn’t fined for mocking the league.
