For those who don’t know, Judgment is a spin-off series of the popular Yakuza series. Judgment follows the story of Takayuki Yagami, a private detective in Kamurocho as players tackle often comedic cases across the city.

Now, the Xbox Game Pass official Twitter account seems to be hinting that Judgment is heading to the service. The hint comes in from a two-part tweet from the account. The first tweet features a long list of names of video game characters like Master Chief, Doom Slayer, and B.J. Blazkowicz. A second follow-up tweet singles out Takayuki Yagami’s name crossed off from the list as a correction, which seems to directly point towards Judgment coming to the service. The tease does come following the announcement of Judgment’s sequel Lost Judgment.
Not only does the tease come from a very credible source, it makes a lot of sense on its own too. The last batch of Xbox Game Pass games added Yakuza: Like A Dragon. With its inclusion the entirety of the mainline Yakuza games became available on Xbox Game Pass, so Judgment’s addition would make a lot of sense as a spin-off of the series. The tease is also supported by Judgment’s release on the Xbox Series X/S earlier this year, although this may mean that the game will not be available on Xbox One when it is added to the service.
However, Xbox did reveal that Xbox One players will be able to play Xbox Series X/S games soon thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming, so Judgment may be available on Xbox One thanks to that feature. Of course, there is no way to know exactly until there is an official announcement. Xbox Game Pass’ Twitter teases are usually revealed in a couple of days, so fans likely won’t have too much longer to wait. Hopefully, the rumor will be true and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to be solving crimes across Kamurocho in Judgment as Takayuki Yagami sometime soon.
Judgment is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
