The Xbox Series X looks set to continue the legacy of the franchise by delivering impressive specifications but the console is also offering new and interesting ideas. Many have been intrigued by the Xbox Game Pass offering that will have exclusive games released on the service and this is partly because it seems to be good value for money. However, many will judge the value of what Xbox offers after understanding how much a new console will cost.

Rumors have suggested that pricing and a release date for the Xbox Series X would come this month and phone company Telstra now seems to support this theory. The Australian based company has sent out SMS claiming that pre-orders for the console will come out soon. The full message reads:
“You’ve signed up to receive information about the Xbox Series X. Preorders for the Xbox Series X with Xbox All Access will open soon. This offer is exclusive to Telstra customers – so you need a postpaid mobile, mobile broadband or home internet service with us. For more information visit tel.st/XboxXeoi "
It will be interesting to see if this is a system error from the company or a legitimate announcement. If it is the first word players are receiving, many will hope that Xbox begins to unveil the product properly as the company has struggled with the messaging of events this year. This was most evident with the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay showcase which provided very little insight and angered fans who believed that they had been promised a full gameplay video. However, if the company can make this announcement stand out with clear messaging many, fans will be excited about the upcoming console.
While this message does not guarantee that pre-orders will be revealed soon, they will be available sooner rather than later. The Xbox Series X is scheduled for a release in the holidays of 2020 and to maximize the success of the console, Xbox will likely want to be able to advertise pre-order offers early. If the console is advertised with plenty of time before traditionally high-spending periods then fans can budget for the Xbox Series X and either pre-order or get it for the festive season. With this in mind, the message from Telstra could be correct.
The Xbox Series X will launch in the holidays 2020.
