The Lunar Shift Special Edition Xbox Series X controller features a silver-gold gradient design that appears to shift colors at different viewpoints. To complement the gradient design, the Lunar Shift Special Edition Xbox Series X controller’s face buttons, triggers, bumpers, d-pad, and thumb sticks are white with gray accents. According to Xbox, the controller’s design is inspired by the “awe-inspiring aura of the Moon.” The back of the Lunar Shift controller is matte black, and the rubberized texture grips contain black and gray swirls to round out the entire design.

Starting today, the new Lunar Shift controller is available now for $69.99 in select markets around the world. Compatible platforms for the new Lunar Shift controller include Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, the new controller features all the supported features of the standard Xbox Series X controller such as button mapping and Bluetooth Low Energy mode. Headset users can take advantage of the built-in 3.5mm stereo jack once more for casual and competitive experiences alike.
Xbox also revealed the Lunar Shift edition of the Razer Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox Series X controllers. The charging stand is available today at the Microsoft Store and the Razer Store for $49.99 featuring the same color scheme as the Lunar Shift controller. Since the charging stand is smaller than the controller itself, the gradient color design is less prominent. However, the colors are a perfect match when plugged into the bottom of the controller for charging purposes.
Xbox continues the trend of creating stylish controllers at a reasonable price point for Xbox and PC players. The support across Xbox and PC allows players to utilize a comfortable controller with a seamless Bluetooth experience. Lunar Shift is another example of Xbox’s creativity in the accessory space, and the company should continue to make new Xbox Series X controller designs for years to come.
As the holiday season approaches, the new Xbox Series X controller could be a potential gaming gift to excite its recipient. Razer makes its own accessories for Xbox as well, so there should be plenty of peripherals to consider as the end of 2022 approaches.
