It’s no secret that Xbox’s strategy going into the next generation of consoles is not necessarily focused on the Xbox Series X. While the company may believe that Series X and Xbox Game Pass will be the best value experience for players, it seems adamant about letting players play their games wherever they want, whether that be on a Series X, Xbox One, or even on PC.

It seems like Microsoft may be even more committed to that ideology that previously anticipated. According to one user on Twitter, a new listing on Target’s retail system indicates that there could be a new version of the Xbox One S on the horizon. The listing calls the alleged console the “Xbox One S 1 Tb V2” and is listed at a price point of $299.99.

Those who have responded to the tweet are a little more skeptical as to whether or not this will be a full revision of the Xbox One S. The price point listed is the same as the Xbox One S that is currently on the market, and some are speculating that this could just be the same console but with the Xbox Series X controller packed in. This would make sense as Xbox recently confirmed that the new Xbox Series X controller would work with the Xbox One and vice versa.

However, this doesn’t mean that a revision of the Xbox One S is totally out of the realm of possibility. When the Xbox One launched, Microsoft announced a new version of the Xbox 360 called the Xbox 360 E. This version of the 360 was designed to stay cooler and quieter than the Xbox 360 S and was given a sleek design to match the Xbox One. This Xbox One S V2 could potentially be similar to the Xbox 360 revision for the next generation of consoles. There’s been no word from Microsoft on this listing, however, so Xbox fans will just have to wait and see if anything comes of this speculation.
